~Kɨranɨa (Long Clarinets), is a 36-minute film that dramatizes what a pair of long clarinets sounds like and how it is made by a Tukanoan indigenous community living along the Cuduyarí river in Uaupés, Colombia. The film is mostly spoken in Pamie (Cubeo language) and Spanish with English subtitles.

March 24, time TBD
"Workshop Series: Inside/Out"
Janet Chernela

Inauguration of Workshop Series on the theme, “Inside/Out.” At this first session, Janet Chernela will present a work-in-progress considering the case of the Kotiria, Eastern Tukanoan speakers of the Uaupés basin in Brazil, in light of this model. The paper will be disseminated beforehand so that a large part session might be devoted to discussion.

More information will be sent closer to the date of each event. We look forward to seeing everyone!
